I have installed eZee NextGen on network. I have done all settings correctly, yet my client computer is not able to connect to server computer's database and gives me error when I start eZee NextGen from a client computer.
We are using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition as a database. There can be several reasons by which a SQL Server database may not be connected over network. Please try following steps to connect to SQL Server database over internet.
Please ping your Client Computer from Server and Server Computer from client to make sure your network connection is perfect.
Please configure fire wall if you are using any
Please turn off any Anti Virus software if you are running.
If you have Windows Fire Wall on, then by default Windows fire wall blocks SQL Server Requests. Either you can turn it off on server computer, but if you want to keep it on, then you will need to configure it. Please follow steps given below.
Click on start -> Select run -> type firewall.cpl and press enter. This will open a dialogue for you.
On this dialogue click on exceptions tab -> click on add program, select folder as "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$EZEEFD\Bin" and file as "sqlservr.exe"
Restart your Computer

Uninstall all components of eZee NextGen including SQL Server 2005, in question please refer to FAQ for reinstalling eZee NextGen.

How can I reinstall eZee NextGen on my computer?
In order to reinstall eZee NextGen please follow these steps,
Please go to your Control Panel -> Add/Remove Program and select eZee FrontDesk Next to uninstall it.
Please go to your Control Panel -> Add/Remove Program and select SQL Server 2005 to uninstall it, this will open a dialogue. Please select EZEE NEXTGEN from list,
And press Next button, it will uninstall database from your computer. Please contact eZee Support if you are not sure.
Please also download and run http://download.microsoft.com/download/vb60pro/install/6/win98me/en-us/vbrun60.exe
Please open C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data folder and delete PMS_NextGen.mdf and PMS_NextGen_log.ldf files.
Install eZee NextGen
